Account Deletion Notice

1. DELETION PROCESS

To delete your Tranzakt account, follow the in-app deletion steps or contact Tranzakt Support. Once your Tranzakt account is deleted you will no longer be able to use Tranzakt payment services, bill payment features, or related products. Your rights and obligations under the Tranzakt Terms of Service will be terminated except where otherwise required by law or expressly stated in those terms.

2. Effects of Deletion

When your Tranzakt account is deleted the following will occur:

  • Identity & account records. Personal identity and account information will be archived and retained in accordance with legal, regulatory, and internal record-keeping requirements.
  • Transaction records. Transaction history and billing records will be retained for the legally required period and will not be accessible through your deleted account.
  • Automatic payments & direct debits. Any scheduled payments, auto-pay or debit authorizations linked to this account will be deleted. You must separately notify merchants where required.
  • Promotions & rewards. Coupons, tier benefits, loyalty points, or promotional balances tied to the account will become void.
  • Merchant contracts & integrations. Merchant services, integrations, and API keys linked to your account will be terminated. Any active agreements with third parties must be handled directly with those parties.
  • Linked funding sources. Bank accounts and cards linked to your Tranzakt account will be unlinked. (Pending authorizations may still settle with the issuing bank.)
  • Active financial products. Any savings, credit products, or loans provided through Tranzakt will be closed or transferred according to the product terms; outstanding obligations remain payable.
  • Business dashboard access. You will lose access to Tranzakt Business/dashboard and any administrative

3. ACCOUNT STATUS REQUIREMENTS

You may only request deletion for an account that you personally registered and that is in good standing. To be eligible for deletion your account should:

  • Have up-to-date and accurate identification and contact information.
  • Have no unresolved disputes, chargebacks, or fraud investigations.
  • Be free of restrictions or holds imposed by Tranzakt or regulators.

If your account does not meet these conditions, deletion may be delayed or denied until issues are resolved.

4. RISK REVIEW & OUTSTANDING BALANCES

Before finalizing deletion, Tranzakt will conduct a risk review. This review ensures there are no outstanding transactions, obligations, or compliance issues tied to your account.

  • Withdrawals / refunds. If there are funds in your account (available balance, pending credits, or refunds), withdraw them or provide an alternative payout method before requesting deletion.
  • Loans or credit lines. Any loans, credit lines, or repayment obligations must be settled or formally transferred as required by their agreements.
  • Pending bills. Ensure scheduled bill payments are completed or rescheduled to avoid late fees with your billers.

5. How to Request deletion

You can request deletion by either:

  1. In-app: Settings →Profile Account → Close Account → follow prompts; and confirm via the verification code sent to your registered email/phone.
  2. Email: Send a signed deletion request to [email protected] including your full name, account ID/email, reason for deletion, and a government ID copy (if requested).
  3. Phone: Call Tranzakt Support at +234 702 594 3085 to initiate and verify your request.

Please allow up to 14 business days for review and processing. You will receive email confirmation when deletion is complete and a final statement showing retained records and any outstanding items.

6. Refunds, Fees & Final Statement

If applicable, Tranzakt will process refunds and final disbursements in accordance with the Terms of Service. Any fees, chargebacks, or outstanding merchant settlements may be deducted from your final balance prior to disbursement. A final account statement will be provided to your registered email.

7. DATA RETENTION & PRIVACY

Tranzakt will retain account and transaction data as required by applicable law and for legitimate business purposes (fraud prevention, audit, tax, and regulatory compliance). Deletion requests may be limited by these obligations; where possible, personal data will be anonymized or archived securely.
